Kubikoff Furniture is an Italian furniture design company, specializing in the design of original and durable modern furniture for home, office, restaurant and hospitality settings. Without any specific design education, Ruud Bos started in 1993 designing chairs for the contract market usually in direct contact with the enduser by approaching the design from the manufacturing point of view and without losing sight of the good design of the product. The challenge for Ruud Bos in designing the Angel chair for Kubikoff was to create a low cost chair with a high end design value. Ruud Bos states: “By introducing the new Angel chair, I think we have succeeded in making good design more accessible for a wider range of people.” Like architecture’s greatest talents, Richard Neutra, George Nelson, Charles Eames, and Eero Saarinen, Ruud Bos also is concerned with making good furniture design available to the masses.
