Detailed Description
CASE STUDY BENTWOOD BEDSIDE TABLE - MODERNICA CASE STUDY BEDROOM FURNITURE - CASE STUDY NIGHTSTAND MATCHES CASE STUDY BEDS
The Case Study Bedside Table is relaxed and unpretentious. Pared down to its
essential elements, the Case Study Bedside Table features a roomy drawer with a handsome,
easy-to-use, cut-away handle. This durable drawer smoothly glides open, and
softly closes with a self-closing vacuum-mechanism. Built with a back frame that
is crafted of one-and-half-inch thick hardwoods. The Case Study Bedside Table frame serves as the back
legs of the dresser and cleverly creates a top lip. This top lip prevents items
from falling off the top surface between the wall and the table.
Case Study bedroom furniture by Modernica has been showcased in Dwell Magazine. It is crafted entirely of laminated hardwood and made in the USA. Case Study Beds with matching Case Study bedside tables and night stands are available in this collection. One of the first manufacturers to rediscover and relaunch out-of-production furniture by mid-century designers, Modernica embraces the modernist movement's democratic ethos. "Richard Neutra, George Nelson, Charles and Ray Eames, they were all concerned with making design available to the masses," explains Frank Novak, who owns the Los Angeles company with his brother, Jay. A commitment to expertise and authenticity served the brothers well in their efforts to resuscitate obsolete manufacturing methods. Take the Eames fiberglass Shell chair, out of production since the 1980s. "We tracked down the guys who developed the originals," says Frank Novak, who then spent two years getting the process up to speed.
