While studying industrial design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Slingerland became interested in the possibilities of moulding in the ceramics production process. Moulding allows small series to be made which reflect the touch of the artist. Slingerland executes the entire production process of his designs himself. His pieces are intensely personal and reflect his cheerful character.

The bowls from the Slow Motion series reflect a fluid motion. This motion is made out of hundreds if not thousands of fragments out of which Slingerland has chosen a couple, which he has fixed in the ceramics. The Slow Motion is available in different colours and sizes.
