Still Vase by Olav Slingerland from Goods Decor Netherlands
While studying industrial design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Slingerland became interested in the possibilities of moulding in the ceramics production process. Moulding allows small series to be made which reflect the touch of the artist. Slingerland executes the entire production process of his designs himself. His pieces are intensely personal and reflect his cheerful character.
The basic principle of the series Still is the fluidity of the clay Olav Slingerland is working with. While pouring clay in a mould, the form comes into existence. Just as the mass of clay starts to flow over the edge, its movement is frozen. The title Still refers to the indication of a frozen video or film fragment. Still Dish to match also on this website.
